"Now where's the Chronivac?" Sarah asked, as her smile grew wider, showing her teeth.
"Why?" asked Mary.
"Oh, little one." Sarah chuckled. "When I thought about you be taken in the powerful coils of a snake, of struggling helplessly, of feeling the air squeezed from your lungs while your heart pounds frantically before being forever stilled, of you being devoured, of your brain and body being dissolved in stomach acids and your biomass being reduced into nourishment for your devourer, and finally of what could not be used being eliminated, did you really think this wasn't an experience I wanted for myself? Say hello to Sarah the snake, whose belly will be your grave."
Trembling, Mary showed Sarah the Chronivac. Sarah sat down to consider her options.
