Earlier that day...
"You can't be real" said Monica with disbelief. "This is some weird ass prank. Am I being punk'd?"
"I assure you I am real" said The Transformation Genie. "So is my magic."
Monica still couldn't believe it. She had stumbled across this old lamp, accidentally rubbed it, and out popped a genie telling her she could transform any one person, either permanently or once temporarily, into a mythical creature.
"Okay, fine. That bitch Lydia thinks she's such a great swimmer. I wish you would transform her into a mermaid permanently."
"I cannot do that."
"Why not?!"
"I can only grant one wish per person."
Monica stared dumbfounded. What had Lydia turned into?
"Whatever. How about her stupid boyfriend then? Turn him into a frog."
"I cannot do that either."
The wheels tried to turn in Monica's spiteful brain. The last she had seen of Lydia and her boyfriend they looked normal. Her jealousy got the better of her.
"Dammit, I wish you'd help me get revenge on Lydia!"
The genie gave his mischievous smirk. "Granted." Then he and the lamp disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Monica stared dumbfounded. What had just happened? With prom and her after-prom party that night, she would find out soon enough...
