She was starting to tower over her closet and her tentacles were almost out of room on the floor, their tips writhing and crawling up the walls around her.
Mary redoubled her efforts, searching frantically through the remaining vials. Her hands dwarfed each tiny vial she cast aside, and she was rapidly outgrowing the ability to read what wasn't written on them--let alone hold them individually.
"Finally!"
Mary reeled herself back as far as possible to create a cushion of space between herself and the box. She held up the increasingly tiny vial and just barely made out its label--"Human." With another growth wave surging up her body, she threw the vial in her mouth, crunching through the glass and swallowing it all. Her limbs pulsed larger and larger, wrapping around any nearby furniture and crushing it. She surged another couple of feet in the air and prayed she'd made it in time. Her head almost hit the ceiling when she felt the strange potion's effects.
From the crown of her head down, the Human vial took affect. Her hair grew back in and her skin returned to its ordinary shade. She blinked as her eyes transformed back into a pair of perfectly normal human eyes. It spread down her body, erasing the various modifications as if they'd never happened. As the effects moved past her chest, Mary frowned at her breasts. They were twice as large as she could remember them being. But she wasn't about to complain--even if her nipples were too large for her hands to cover, she was turning back into a human!
The changes reached her waist, and just as they were about to erase her tentacles, a growth surge came up through her hips. The effects collided, leaving Mary numb and tingling where her human torso met the slick skin of her lower appendages, but it was quickly replaced with an uncomfortable warmth. She closed her eyes and crossed her fingers.
When she looked down, there were still massive tentacles attached below her waist. But her waist looked different as well--Mary stared at it as the change failed to register in her mind.
It only hit her when her head hit the ceiling.
"No!" Mary cried out, sinking down into the coils of her tentacles. Another pulse surge due through her body, faster this time, making her tentacles bulge out several inches in every direction. Her bones cracked as they, too, lengthened and widened; Mary had thirty-foot long tentacles joined at the waist of a human body belonging to a woman at least fifteen feet tall.
Her tentacles writhed up the walls, pushing at them, and her rapidly ballooning weight pressed dents into the floor beneath her. A few feet stacked themselves on her already-massive frame as the next growth wave began.
Mary hunched over, her spine starting to graze the ceiling, her face smothered between breasts larger than her head and seeming miles of slick, squirming muscle. Her body only pressed out and out, dwarfing the door, pressing her shoulderblades into the ceiling. Her tentacles filled more than half the room, the rest of her body not far behind.
There was a crash and a rush of cool air as one of her tentacles grew out a window, spilling sensitive dark flesh into the outside air. As though seeking more space to fill, her body pulses faster and faster with growth. The fragile plaster walls fell to her rapidly expanding mass of tentacles and her body began to break into the attic above her room. Her weight shifted as some of it fell through the floor, pushing the holes it made wider and wider as more and more flesh forced its way through. The tentacles that had first breached the wall of her room were dropping to the cold pavement, squirming as they covered more and more of the ground, reaching and stretching out as they added on dozens of feet of length.
