The curtain fell and the inky blackness surrounded Scarlette. The inside of The Mystery Room was as dark as dark can get. There was not a single photon in there with Scarlette.
Scarlette began to panick. She didn't want to be twisted up like Skye had been. What if her arms became dicks? What if her butt was copied over her face? What if she ceased to exist, entirely!?
The incredible darkness was not helping Scarlette's condition. It was too dark, way too dark. It was stuffy, way too stuffy. She needed to get out of here. She needed to....
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Scarlette screamed as she flew out from behind the curtain.
"Woah! Scarlette, are you ok?" Skye said. Scarlette was curlled up on the ground. He eye were locked open by terror. "Shhh, Shhh," Skye calmly said. "Scar, you're ok. You're ok."
"No, no," Scarlette weakly whined. "You've turned me into a monster."
"Scar... Scar! Look at me! .... Everything is fine. You're ok. Look at yourself. The room did nothing to you. The room takes your consent into account. You're going to be fine. Stop freaking out."
Scarlette was, as Skye suggested, normal. Two arms, two legs, ten fingers, ten toes. Everything about her was completely stock. Scarlette began to calm herself down.
She stood up and Skye apologized, ferociously. After a minute of convincing, Skye managed to talk Scarlette into staying and trying out other, more predictable ways of transformation.
