While Halloween at Mieni Atoll wasn't quite the same as on the Mainland, it was still a lot of fun. There were plenty of animatronic sea monsters from various Pacific Ocean cultures around the Atoll, and what supposedly inspired them shown in the Spooky Seas exhibit at the Mieni Atoll Nautical Museum.
There was also a temporary exhibit on famous ghost ships, sunken cities, and similar unusual events reported in the Pacific Ocean, which was made to look like a real, eastern depiction of a ghost ship that had docked at the Museum. One of the more surprising things was that there was seemingly an equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle in the Pacific, known as the Dragon triangle.
One thing that was also added was a fake WWII POW Camp, made to look like it was overgrown by the jungle, and full of supernatural manifestations. Before entering the camp, there was a sign that said that there was no real POW Camp on Mieni, and that it was part of the Spooky Shores of Mieni Atoll.
Another thing was an Exhibit at the Museum called Blackwater Terrors, which showed many preserved fish specimens from the Twilight Zone and below in the ocean, such as the Gulper Eel and the Angler Fish. What was included was what made them look freaky was actually important evolutionary advantages.
The inhabitants of Mieni Atoll also got into the spirit of Halloween, by making them look like either sea monsters or jungle demons. They would then appear from cover, either jungle plants or under the waves, to scare visitors silly but make sure to let them know that it was just part of Halloween.
