Tad walked down the street to Amy's house after making sure the door to his house was locked behind him. Since his mom was going out on a date tonight, and he had no clue when she was getting back or if she was going to bring Claire back to the house with her, he texted Amy to see if he could come over for dinner. She said it was fine, since her parents had gone out to eat tonight and she was babysitting Jay and Leon at home.
"I'm sure they'll be happy to see you and ask some questions," Amy had said in her text she'd sent earlier regarding Jay and Leon. "They'll obviously ask you to 'wolf out' with them and play some kind of game in the backyard."
Of course, Tad was more than happy to come over.
When he got to the door of the Howler's house, he didn't have to knock, as the door quickly opened for him by Leon.
"Tad! You're here!" he said happily. "Come on! We're just about to eat!" The 13 year old grabbed his wrist and pulled him inside eagerly.
"Well you're excited about something," Tad said, chuckling as he shut the door behind him. "Let me guess: you and Jay want to do something with me and your sister as werewolves?"
"Yeah! We want you to teach us some stuff about being a werewolf!"
"Alright, I can do that," Tad said as Jay led him into the kitchen. "But first, let's get something to eat. What do you guys have for dinner?"
The two walked into the kitchen to see Jay putting pizza slices on paper plates.
"Our mom ordered us Meat Lover's Pizza," Jay said when he heard Tad's question.
"You need my help?" Tad asked.
"No, I got it," he said. carrying two of the plates over and setting them on the table. "Thank you though!"
"So Tad, why'd you come over for dinner tonight?" Leon asked curiously.
"I just came over so my mom could go on her ate tonight," he said. "I'm not sure if she'll come back to the house with her date or not, so just in case she did, I came over here for dinner to give her some peace and quiet for the night. I wonder how she's doing on the date so far..."
