"Look, we both know that you're a freakin' child prodigy when it comes to wizardry, but that's not really helping your brother, is it?" Eyrick thought fast and projected the thoughts at Jared's brother with his clumsy ability for telepathy.
"Go on," Kevin said, taking the thoughts that popped into his head for what they were worth.
"Well, the change doesn't have to be permanent, but you'll need some help," Eyrick said. "Medallion magic can be stubborn."
"So, we could get Jared back?"
At the moment, Jared didn't look terribly concerned whether he ever walked on two legs again. He dug at an itchy spot in his flanks with a hind leg.
"Might I suggest I teleport us back to my place," the young wizard said. "You can peruse some tomes, and I will consult with my compendium of magical artifacts."
Kevin agreed, but he also decided he would need to keep a close eye on this guy. For instance, he still wasn't sure why Eyrick had wanted to change Jared into a dog in the first place.
