Matt checked his ticket to see where he was supposed to be going, and groaned to himself when he saw that it was for Glasgow. It didn’t exactly have a great reputation, but he thought to himself about Scotland’s beautiful glens and lochs from the movies, and his spirits were lifted slightly. He looked up at the departure board in front of him, and saw that his British Airways flight to Glasgow was in just ten minutes! He ran as fast as he could to the gate, pushing past people as he went, and arrived just in time with a minute to spare.
The woman at the gate didn’t exactly look impressed with him, but smiled nonetheless and took his ticket. In a pleasant English accent, she said, ‘You’ll be in first class as economy is filled up. Please take your seat quickly so we can be on our way, and have a nice flight.’ Matt nodded to her, and ran along the jet bridge onto the plane.
The small group of well-presented flight attendants in suits and ties smiled at Matt as he stepped on, all echoing, ‘Please enjoy your flight.’ He took his seat in the empty first class cabin and strapped himself in, and started flicking through the magazine and browsing the movies to keep himself busy for the long flight. Before long, he had fallen fast asleep to the gentle droning of the engines.

Matt was awoken to the sound of the pilot announcing, ‘We will shortly be landing in Glasgow, Scotland. The local time is 2:38 pm, and it is currently raining in Glasgow. We hope you have enjoyed your flight with Air Scotland today.’
Air Scotland? Matt could have sworn that he was flying on a different airline, but it must have just been his imagination. A slightly rugged-looking flight attendant wearing a short-sleeved wrinkled shirt and a blue tie walked down the aisle to him, and asked, ‘Hey, pal, you want a quick drink before we arrive?’
‘Aye, I’ll have an Irn Bru, thanks.’
