While Tad and Amy were teaching Jay and Leon about being werewolves, Jen was leading Claire into the entrance of the forest. The sun had just fully set a few minutes ago, leaving the forest bathed in darkness. Currently, Claire was walking beside Jen in silence, thinking about what to say to her.
"Lovely night, isn't it?" Jen asked, breaking the silence between them.
"Huh? Oh! Yes, it's very nice out tonight," Claire responded. "Sorry, I'm still a little shocked that we're going out on a date. I mean, I'm new to this whole 'being lesbian and falling in love with other females' thing."
Jen chuckled. "Don't worry," she said. "It's not that complicated. It's just love."
"So where are we going?" Claire asked, changing the topic.
"When I was out for a walk one day, I took a walk through the forest to see if I could find somewhere I used to come all the time when I was young," Jen said. "It's this small lake that looks beautiful when the moon shines down on the water. Since you're new to town and we're on a date, I wanted to show you it. Trust me, you'll love it."
Jen continued to lead Claire into the forest and off the path, moving a few branches out of the way every now and then. "The paths through the forest are relatively new, and I have no clue if they go to the lake," Jen said. "From what I've seen on maps, they don't, but if I remember correctly, we should be pretty close."
After walking for a little bit, Jen pushed some low hanging branches out of her line of sight to see what she was looking for: a small lake that had the reflection of the moon on the water. From every direction around the lake, you could just hear the peaceful sounds of nature.
"So, what do you think?" Jen asked Claire as she took off her shoes and sat down on the ground, not worrying about her outfit too much.
"It's beautiful..." Claire said, slightly speechless as she sat down next to Jen.
"I'm glad you like it," Jen said, smiling. "Now that we're here, I can finally say what's on my mind."
"Since Jeff died, I've felt like there was a hole in my heart that nothing could fix. As time went on, the hole began to shrink a bit, but it remained. I didn't think I'd ever love again...until I met you Claire. After I transformed you, I was tossing an turning at night, wondering if I was ever ready to move on. And now, I think I'm ready to have a relationship with you."
When Jen finished, she realized that Claire was crying.
"Claire?" she asked, sounding concerned. "What's wrong? Are you-?" But Jen was quickly cut off when Claire wrapped her arms around Jen and Jen fell to the ground with Claire on top of her, hugging her as she wept tears of joy.
"Yes Jen!" she cried happily. "I want to be your lover!"
Jen smiled and hugged Claire back. "I'm glad," she said. "Now, how about we have some fun while we're out?"
