You start to worry about Kate and the large amount of fat that covered her body and a part of you hopes that she will get skinny again, she was under some kind of influence of some kind, maybe the mushrooms were in some kind of Hogspuff sauce.
“That was the best day of eating ever” Kate says her fat chins jiggle with each word spoken.
“Yeah, maybe we should diet now” you say.
“Nonsense I could go for more food, fancy hitting up another food truck?” she asks.
“No have you seen how fat you are?” you ask her.
“Don’t be so silly babe, I’m as trim as ever” she says while posing as sexy as possible her fat jiggling hypnotically.
You shake your head as Kate checks her phone and notices a text from Erika.
“Oh shoot my sister needs me I’ll see you at college tomorrow babe” Kate says before she waddles off towards home leaving you alone.
You begin to walk to the gate of the park and check your phone from time to time but Virginia has yet to inform you on any details, you walk past the taco truck and notice Kate waddling off with a few more tacos in hand.
As she leaves your view again you feel your phone vibrate, you grab it and see it’s a text from Virginia she didn’t provide a lengthy text just a location and time.
“Kurt’s place? Lucky the park is only a thirty minute walk from there” you mumble before you head off towards his house.
You arrive a little out of breath and see Virginia with Mercedes and Viola, they wave to you as you get closer, Mercedes is the first person to say something.
“You get fat?” she asks.
“It’s just a reaction to something possibly Hogspuff soaked mushrooms, I can’t be sure so it’s only speculation buuut Kate is a walking blimp I think she is highly delicate to Hogspuff, I’ve taken one puff and eaten half a plate and nothing severe has happened” you reply.
“Well I’m sure she’ll be fine, nobody can get fat so suddenly it takes time for the fat to develop” Virginia says.
“OK enough about me, did you find out about Kurt and Phoebe?” you ask.
“Well from what we can gather, Phoebe is at her own house, she’s been ill since yesterday I think that smell did something that none of us have experienced, I think we should check on her later or tomorrow if we run out of time” Viola says.
“And Kurt?” you ask a little worried about the answer.
“No answer, nobody is answering the phone and Kurt is ignoring his cell, I didn’t have trouble speaking with Phoebe’s mother” Viola replies.
“Who does Kurt live with?” you ask as you look to the house, you can make out faint movement but are unsure who it could be since Kurt never spoke of his home life to anyone.
“No clue, I assume with his mum and dad” Virginia says.
You all start to walk to the door and you feel nervous as you have never really been or even seen inside Kurt’s house, you only know of his address because you walked with him back to his, with a deep breath you hit the door and wait.
A few minutes later you hear footsteps and a deep voice on the other side it sounds like Kurt but he sounds ill or something.
“Who is it?” he asks.
“It’s Jay with Virginia, Mercedes and Viola, we’re worried about you, Phoebe is ill with something according to Viola, how about you?” you ask.
“Oh I’m glad it’s you guys, I uh I can’t open the door” he says.
“Kurt you were exposed to Hogspuff” you begin to say.
“I..I know my brother he’s seen it before, his ex-girlfriend smoked it a while back, it was expensive stuff since it was rare and only by special order through the right connections, it’s gaining momentum, it’s being used in sauces and drinks at certain locations in the city” Kurt says.
“I think Chuck’s Eatery might be using it” you mention from your experience with Kate.
“Well it turns out that some people can be allergic to the stuff, my brother told me about this, it turns the smoker into a more pig like person when they use, long term use can cause permanent changes, well those allergic experience faster effects” Kurt says.
“I think Kate could be allergic, she got insanely fat in such a short time” you mention to Kurt.
“She might also be sensitive, Phoebe was sensitive she called me and I told her, however those allergic suffer a more drastic change, open the door it’s unlocked” he says.
You turn the door knob and push the door open to see Kurt, he was rather fat, his ears floppy and his nose slightly jutting out in a small snout, he was leaning on the wall and you can see why, his feet look less human and more pig like, his hands in a similar situation.
“This is what someone allergic goes through, my brother Keith was told this info by his ex-girlfriend which he relayed to me, I’m not worried or anything, I’ll need time to recover it’ll be between a few days to a week” Kurt reassures you all.
“I’m glad you’re OK get well soon” you say giving Kurt a pat on his fatty shoulder.
“I have Keith coming to stay, with mum and dad out of town for another week I’ll need someone to feed me and he knows more about this than my folks do” Kurt says as you step towards the door.
You wave as Kurt falls down onto his hands and knees to stop from wobbling, you close the door and walk back onto the street.
“Well this explains why he was absent today” Virginia says.
“Yeah he’ll be back by next week, we should probably call it here and get some rest” you say.
Everyone nods in agreement and you all begin to head home, you arrive home and reach the front door and open it, you can smell dinner cooking which makes your stomach grumble but you try to ignore it as you step inside.
