"How about them," Katie asked pointing to a group of women in their late 40s or early 50s. Kellie smiled. "Perfect."
"So how to you want to do this," Katie said. "Should we just change their ages from here or get closer." Kellie paused as she pondered Katie's question. "You know I think we should talk with them first," she said. "Lets see how they are before we change their ages. After the whole Ashley and Jennifer debacle I want to make sure we're not dealing with another group of obnoxious people." Katie nodded as the two made their way over to where the women sat.
Katie and Kellie slowly made their way towards the women trying to listen to their conversation as they approached. The four women seemed to be close friends. They all seemed to be laughing and talking of old times. Katie smiled, from what she could hear it appeared the women had been friends since elementary school. Hopefully this would mean that once she changed their ages it would not affect their relationship.
"Hi," Katie said cheerfully as her and Kellie approached. "Great day to be at the beach." The four women stopped to look at the two teenage girls. "Oh hello girls," an auburn haired woman said. "Yes it is a lovely day perfect to get together with old friends."
Katie smiled as she looked at the auburn haired woman. She wore a peach colored sundress with a large sun hat covering a green one piece underneath. "So what brings you to the beach today?" she asked. The auburn haired woman smiled. "Oh the four of us have been friends since grade school," she said. "We actually first met on this very beach forty years ago. We try to get together every year to kind of commerate the event." Katie and Kellie nodded and smiled. "Wow that's amazing," Kellie commented. "Forty years of friendship is impressive."
The women smiled back at the two teens. "Thank you," a woman in a black one piece with salt and pepper haired said . "You would never of thought it if you got to know us. We were all very different when we were younger but we always got along." Katie raised an eyebrow intrigued by what the woman said. "Oh really how different?"
"I was always shy but played a lot of sports in high school," the woman in the black one piece said. "I always was a wall flower because I never felt pretty enough around these three." The women giggled and laughed at that last statement. "Oh come on now Samantha," a petite blond woman in a white coverall said. "You were always attractive. You just lacked confidence in middle and high school. By the time you got to college you opened up."
Samantha smiled. "Well maybe you're right Claudia," she said. "But you have to admit in high school and middle school it was hard to compete with the head cheerleader and homecoming queen." Claudia smiled as she brushed a stray blond hair out of her face. "That was high school but even then we all got along really well."
Katie grinned Claudia and Samantha both seemed like genuinely decent people. "So you all went to the same high school too," she asked. The four women nodded. "Oh yes," Claudia said. "It was me, Samantha, Mary Elise the brain and Mika the fashion plate." A thin Asian woman wearing a blue one piece frowned before laughing. "Hey," Mika said with a smile. "I was not a fashion plate." The auburn haired turned towards Mika with a kindly smile. "She's not wrong Mika," she said. "You always set the fashion trends for everyone at the school. That always drove Claudia nuts."
Mika laughed as she glanced over at Claudia. "Well that was just how me and Claudia got along. We were so similar we either got along perfectly or were at each others throats. Can't believe it took us so long to realize we were two peas in a pod."
"Probably would of saved us a lot of high school cat fights," Mary Elise said. "It was like separating a pair of rabid raccoons." The women laughed as they began to reminisce about the epic fights the two women had in their youth. Katie and Kelly smiled, these four were perfect now the only decision was how old or young to make them.
