it was some time later As James and Becky walked on stage that the judges couldn't have looked any less impressed. knowing they hadn't had a chance to work on their routine at all that they were prepared for the worse to come as they had arrived at the carnival in. Becky just wanted the whole sorry experience to be over while James, the genuine magic was sure that they were about to change their attitude soon when he would start his performance.
barely concealed his contempt that one of the judges was a smartly dressed middle aged man with a serious, condescending demeanor. "And you are?" he asked with a smirk on his face.
"greetings ladies and gentleman. i'm the magnificent and Magical James, and this is my lovely transforming assistant, Becky." James smiled enthusiastically while Becky was doing her best to hide her blush as she was wearing the outfit that James showed her one time in a book.
The man scribbled something in his notes while he huffed about it. the second judge was a young and beautiful red haired woman. she soon asked in a much more sympathetic tone. "And what are you here to perform for us?"
"magic!" James pronounced confidently.
the male just smirked with a huff as he only sneered. "magic? like Can you make yourselves disappear?"
"young man, We see a lot of magic acts. what makes yours different?" the third judge that was a serious looking middle aged, but an attractive woman interjected. "sir, the winner of this competition will have the chance to join our show as you'll be on national television that the money you'll get payed is big, huge even. if you don't do well that you might end up on the circus and even appear on kids parties for second place."
James looked forlorn as Becky gasped with excitement while coming out of her embarrassment that the judges were telling them about wining 2nd place should they not win 1rst.
"well judges, I can turn my lovely assistant Becky here into any animal you can think of. from turning her into a common animal like dogs, cats, squirrels, and so on, to unusual and exotic creatures that even mythical as your imagine's the limits. I can do it right now in front of your very eyes without any hidden tricks!" James beamed.
unconvinced, but interested that the judges looked at each other before they made their decision. "Ok kid, let's see what you've got" the male judge challenged.
hearing the ok signal that James started turning his lovely assistant Becky into...
