Ryan wandered around the basement for a little while before finding a hallway full of suits of armour, each one holding a sword vertically in front of their helmets. But, interestingly, the arrangement wasn’t symmetrical. There were three empty pedestals, two on one side and one on the other. Ryan found a door between the two empty podiums and went in.
The room he found was rather small and bare, having a bench along the opposite wall and not much else. There were a pair of what Ryan thought were knee-length metal boots, but were actually greaves and sabatons from a suit of armour, just like the ones in the hallway. He decided to try them on. He took his shoes off and sat down at the bench. The boots were just large enough to let him slip his feet in, glad that he was still wearing socks, since the metal seams might have hurt otherwise, until he was firmly wearing the boots.
