Tammy maneuvered through the rooftops of the devastated city, her dirty blonde hair tied back in a ponytail with goggle like glasses that were strapped around her head so they wouldn't fall off, she wore a white shirt under a combat vest with a white armored trench coat with a sleek design, jeans and black combat boots. On her hips were two holstered high caliber pistols, on her back was a razored combat sword and high caliber rifle. The 20 year old had a military bag and a holsters knive, in her hands was a spas-12 shotgun which she used to dispatch the enlarged insect drones that pursued her.
She stopped on a roof and threw down two grenades as she lept down to the next roof. The woman could hear an explosion behind her, she landed with excellent climbing skills and looked at the building that fell apart, taking the swarm of giant ants with it. The area had been evacuated so she didn't have to worry about any civilians getting caught in the crossfire. Tammy was an E.D.F Ranger, sent to scout and report the insect's movement. Unfortunately the enemy was advancing toward the next city, She was making her way to the EDF watchpost and inform them of the incoming threat.
The Ranger maneuvered down the last building with her parkour skills and continued on motorcycle to the watchpost, the half destroyed city was already starting to evacuate but the new development ment that they would have to make a stand while the evacuation was sped up.
The Ranger made it to the EDF watchpost at dusk, the makeshift barricade of cars and steel with heavy turrets the military had set up, she was let in and immediately made her war to the command tent,
"Ranger Qe,(kay) good to see you made back, bad news?" Commander Jackson sighed,
"Unfortunately. The enemy are advancing towards this location." She stated.
"Ughhhh...the evac is almost done. What are we gonna be dealing with?" He replied rubbing his face.
"Ants, a small colony I think, biggest drone was 2ft(the insects are measured by their body length) the warriors around 5ft" the Ranger informed.

Because of the insect's size, most require special guns and ammunition. Typical EDF bullets are half an inch in diameter, this ammunition is known as "Piercer" rounds. Ordinary bullets, at most, will injure an enlarged insect.
Other forms of weapondry used by the EDF include multiple types of explosives, incendiary rounds or flamethrowers. Super hard metal swords and knives are also effective in close range.

"Okay, are turrets will hold them off, but there could be thousands in that colony, they could overwhelm our defenses and scale the barricade" he said.
"Non the less, good work Ranger, I'll inform the evac group. Go see Captain Rijo, he'll probably have something for you to do" he finished. She saluted and gave a brief "yes Sir, Commander" before exiting the tent. Tammy personally couldn't stand Rijo, he was a womanizing mocho, pain-in-the-ass. The Ranger walked through the watchpost and made it to a platform for a big attack helicopter. Captain Rijo had just finished speaking to some engineer, he turned around and a smug smile grew across his face. He was wearing white and black EDF combat armor.
"I see your haven't gotten killed yet" The blonde said,
"It's nick to see you too, Tammy. To what do I owe the pleasure?" He said smugly.
"Commander Jackson said you'd have something for me to do?" She replied.
"Wait your the Ranger he sent?. Yea, I have a couple things for you to do" The Hispanic man said suggestively as he looked her up and down.
The woman cocked her head back and rolled her eyes behind her glasses/goggles,
"You're something else you know that. I'll come back when you find your head out of your ass." Ranger Qe said annoyed and started to walk the other way,
"We think there's something tunneling around down there." He said.
She stopped in her tracks and walked back over to him,
"What do you mean 'something'?" The 20 year old asked,
"It's not ants, they would've attacked by now. It might be something else, I don't know. But I'm taking my team into the sewers were we found a hole." He explained.
"Well then, lets go check it out then." She replied.
The two met up with the other three members of the group and set out past the barricades, into a nearby manhole.
"Ladies first." The Captain said, she sighed and reluctantly went down first, followed by the others who switched on their flashlight attachments. Tammy took out her own light and followed behind Rijo.
