Trapped with a 1950s Mother

added 5 years ago O Clothes Mental

When you finish loading the boat you step on and you are taken to Miss Misogyny's hideout: a shoreside house that is built to mimic a house from the 1950s. And after unloading all the money the housewife turns to you "So Mary, tell me about yourself. I've never seen you around these parts before, are you new?" She asks.

"Why yes mother, I'm 19, single, and currently unemployed. I live in the city and I just love living here; the sunny weather, the colorful people, why it's a swell place to live." you say in a breathy voice as you sit down next to Miss Misogyny, cross your legs and smile warmly. You see your reflection in a mirror: your face has modest makeup applied. 'Why am I telling her these things and talking like this is killing me inside' you think to yourself.

"Oh that's lovely dear. I'm sure you'll come to love being my daughter. Now, I'm going to go make supper. Why don't you go and meet your baby brother?"

'Brother?', you think in horror. But your outward response is to stand up excitedly and gasp with delight. "Oh, Mother, I'd love to!" Then, much to your irritation, you find yourself running like a little girl as you ascend the stairs. Your body moves as if it knows exactly where to go. Walking into a door, you find yourself in an old-fashioned nursery. As if on cue, you hear a small voice start crying and walk over to the crib, looking inside. There's a small, baby boy lying in the bed. He pauses in his cries, looking at you.

'It really is a baby', you think to yourself. After what had just happened to you, you were half-expecting to find some guy dressed up as a baby. Then again, it was still possible that this baby wasn't hers for all you knew.

"Awwww! Well hello there, Little Bubba", you coo while reaching down and tapping the baby on the nose, much to his glee. "I'm your new big sister, Mary Misogyny." Something's wrong. For a split-second, it almost felt as if you believed what you were saying. Could this transformation be effecting your mind? Regardless, your body acts on it's own, picking up the baby and rocking him in your arms. "Gee. I'm so lucky to have met Mother. We're gonna be such a happy family."

After half an hour of playing with your "new brother", Miss Misogyny called you down for dinner and your body happily came downstairs to the dinner table. Much to your dismay, she's still got her rolling pin. You put the baby boy in a baby-seat before taking your own at the table. Miss Misogyny proceeds to sit at the other end. She looks sadly at the two empty seats before looking at you, as if she's about to burst into tears of joy.

"Mary dear, you can't even begin to imagine how happy I am that you've joined my family." You feel happiness for her creeping into your mind, but you snap out of it (at least on the inside). "All I've ever wanted was to be loved as a housewife and a mother. I know my place, unlike the so-called 'feminists' out there." She seemed to get a faraway look of dread, as if remembering something traumatic. "It's better this way." Then she suddenly seemed to snap back to her regular, cheery demeanor. "Now don't you worry. Soon, we'll be a happy, old-fashioned family. Once I've found another daughter and a..." She paused placing a hand over her heart. "... a... husband..."
