"No! Wait," Martha said. She mashed her puke covered lips against Jude's forehead. "There, I did it. I did it."
"Too little too late," Ty said.
"Please," Jude said while trying to wipe off some of the puke on him. "Please don't leave us like this."
"Oh, I don't plan on leaving you like that," Ty said.
"Really?" Martha said with a touch of hope in her voice.
"But, I won't be turning you back to normal either."
"Oh," Jude said.
"First, let's get Dusty involved in this conversation." Ty focused on the little girl in the bug jar. The jar vanished and the girl that had been inside rapidly grew back to normal size, finding herself awkwardly squeezed skin-to-skin between her former mother's fat hairy thighs. She grunted and squirmed away. "Welcome back, Dusty," Ty said.
Dusty stood between them all, still naked and too terrified to move now.
"Come here, baby," Jude said offering a flabby arm to the 9 year old. Dusty settled down next to Jude and let him hold her. Martha wiped the remaining puke from her mouth and sat on the other side of Jude. Jude put an arm around her as well. Then, Jude looked back at Ty. "Well," he said. "What now?"
Ty looked at them for a moment. He wanted to remember them as they were just then, twisted and broken. They were no longer a threat to him, but they had to go. He had to move on, and they had to start their true punishment.
"This is what your punishment will be," Ty said. "You will have to live the life that I have lived."
"What does that mean?" Martha asked.
"We're going into foster care," Dusty said blankly. She was resigned to her fate.
"That's right," Ty said. "Each of you is going back to birth. You will all be put up for adoption, and then you will be placed into foster care separately. Each of you will have a family very much like this one used to be with uncaring foster parents, privileged foster siblings, endless chores, and maybe a few beatings to go with it all."
The three of them started to grow younger. Dusty quickly dwindled back into girlhood then infancy. Martha went from sexy teen to cute girl and then finally to adorable baby girl. Jude grew younger but remained severely obese even as he became a child again. At last, he too became a baby, and a pudgy one at that.
Ty looked at the three babies that had been his foster family just that morning. They looked so innocent and helpless now. He addressed them for what he knew would be the last time. "You will each appear as a fertilized egg in separate wombs. Then, as you grow into a fetus, you will gradually regain consciousness. You will remember everything from this life, but you will be trapped in a womb for months until you are born again into a new life. You will always know who you used to be, and you will likely never fully adjust to being in a body of the opposite sex. You might even consider a sex change later on, or maybe you'll make peace with the change in time. That's up to you. Either way, the bodies you were in just now are the ones you will naturally grow into in time.
"I don't doubt you will want to explain to your foster families what happened to you. You'll probably try to find each other later as well, but that will have to wait. Get ready for months and months of infancy: diapers, baby formula, feeling feeble and helpless. You'll talk early, for sure, as soon as your mouth is ready to form words. What will you say then? Will you tell them the truth? Will you show yourself to be a freak, a baby with a grown up mind? Or, will you hide what you are and try to live a normal life? I wonder. Again, that's up to you."
The three babies were magically lifted into the air then and rapidly began to regress into fetuses as a glow surrounded them. Soon, they were little more than dots of light.
"Goodbye," Ty said. "Make the best of this new life."
In a flash, the three dots of light they had become disappeared, and Ty was alone at last.
