As Jared was lead away by his brother, he couldn't help but look back at the girls. So much fun, not yet experienced. They were so cute, so bubbly, so loving. Jared wanted to spend more time with them. He NEEDED to spend more time with them. He sat down on the ground, refusing to let Kevin take him any further away from him.
"Nnngh! Ja- Uh, Shaggy? What's wrong, boy?", Kevin asked in an extremely forced pleasant tone.
Jared whimpered and, remembering that only Kevin could understand him, answered in what the girls only heard as 'ruffs' and 'barks'. "Kevin, PLEASE. PLEASE. I'm sorry I got you embarrassed and stuff, but this is heaven..... These girls are amazing! I don't expect you to understand, since you're younger than me-"
"What is THAT supposed to mean?!", Kevin asked loudly. His eyes widened once he realized the girls had heard him, and he chuckled nervously. "Oh, sorry, he likes to play.... um.... 'talkies'. Yeah. Is it okay if i play with him here for a bit?" Rachel nodded. "It's totally fine! C'mon, girls. Let's give the boys some space." And with that, Rachel and her trio of friends walked bad over to the patio table, sat down, and continued to talk about random things. Kevin knelt down, stared Jared in the eyes, and whispered so the girls wouldn't hear.
"Dude, I don't know what stuff you're doing with these girls, but I don't care. I need to take you home." Jared whined. "Why?", he asked.
"Well, because dad wants you in the backyard. He doesn't want to risk anyone finding out his son is a dog!"
"And they won't! I'm playing the part great! Please, Kevin, I want this so bad!"
"Again, I don't care about whatever the hell you're doing. You need to come home."
"But it hasn't even been an hour!"
"I don't care! Dad told me to bring you back; he nearly laid an egg when I told him I let you go for a walk!"
"..... Kevin, listen. I understand that you're scared dad will get pissed at you. But please, do this for me? If I was you and you were me, I'd let you have fun like this. PLEASE, DUDE. I know this sounds weird, but these girls are just so-"
"Jared, I'm old enough to know what's going on I saw your..... THING, dude! It was gross!"
"Kevin, PLEASE. Tell dad that you found me sleeping under a tree or that you talked to me and I promised to hide somewhere nobody would see me! Just please, let me hang out with these girls more! Especially in this form!"

"Remember when you broke dad's car windshield and I took the blame? Or when you poured white-out all over the couch and I helped you clean it up before anyone saw? Or when I saved up my allowance to buy you that giant robot toy for your birthday? Or when you wet yourself at Ralph's birthday party and I poured some lemonade on my pants so you wouldn't be the only one?"
"..... Dude, I-"
"Kevin, please. Just this once, let me hang out some more with these girls. I won't let them know who I really am! Please, please, please!"
Kevin took a second, and sighed. Unclipping the leash, he began to rub Jared's head. "Okay, bro. You have THREE hours. Go nuts. Just..... Please don't tell me anything when you come home. And don't make me come looking for you! Three hours, okay? I'll tell dad that's how long you planed to sleep or whatever for, and I'll keep him busy."
Jared began to tear up with happiness, a warmth flooding his heart. "Thank you, Kevin."
Kevin nodded and stood up, calling to the girls. "Hey, um, guys? I think Shaggy wants to stay and play with you!" The girls looked over, smiling. "Really? Awesome!" "Come here, Shaggy! Good puppy!"
