The December/Christmas issue of Animalia was highly amusing in many ways. The cover model was none other than Diego, with his cover story being "Prepare for the Ice Age", which involved many ways of both surviving winter conditions, whether it was winter camping, or getting snowbound, or similar things.
There were also interviews with both Diego and Manfred as the first members of Project Cenozoic. While Diego talked about how he was getting chased by girls, which was distracting him from trying to find a career, Manfred talked about how being a wooly mammoth had it's own ups and downs. For example, his new tusks weren't as long as they were sometimes found on mammoth skeletons (which was good), but the elephants of Lyre and Animalia continually referring to him as "revered ancestor" or "honored ancestor" made him a little uncomfortable.'
The Past, Present, and Future talked about how many traditions of Christmas, and Christianity, actually started with a pagan religion called Mithraism. When Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity, he merged many Mithraic symbols and traditions to help ease the transition for the Roman Empire, including making December 25, the birthday of the god Mithras, the celebrated birthday of Jesus.
What was also included was a schedule for events of the Animalia Christmas Exposition and where they were supposed to occur. There was also a map of the "Western Front" in the Great Snow War and what such a thing would entail. Polly was definitely looking forward to taking part in the battle.
With help from the December issue of Animalia Magazine, more and more people were looking forward to the ACE.
