You look at the costumes of women around you. It seems like your eyes are playing tricks on you, because there are seemingly endless variations. High School to College to middle age and beyond, with any kind of ethnicy represented. Ideas surrounding gorgeous, High School seniors enter your mind and you are incredibly tempted to just get one of those costumes and one of those reality warpers. You always thought the stories of those manipulative and promiscous girls hot, even if they were hilariously unrealistic.
"So, you say these reality warpers of yours change the world depending on the costumes I buy?" you ask, naturally a bit sceptical. You are even more suspicious after you check out the prices for these miracle gadgets.
"Technically, you don't need a costume. Just the RW, as I call them, are enough. You pick the theme before buying and program them at home," magical Hugh Hefner kindly explains.
"Program?" That sounds surprisingly technical for a supposedly magical piece.
The wizard shruggs. "Just because we're using magic here, doesn't mean we live behind the moon. You can finetune the RW within certain specifications, to better live out your fantasies."
"Does that mean I can create a reality just like I want it?"
"Well, not just like that. Every RW is keyed to certain specifics. If you want to create a reality with a certain amount of siblins and choose what hobbies they have, you are at the wrong address. Of course, I can refer you to a colleague who does have things like, but I trade in sexual RWs. Remember my talk about a reality with submissive women? Well, no two customers want the same degree of submissiveness or they want to try out being submissive themselves. I'd be a serious hack, if my merchandise couldn't account for taste."
This story got sillier by the second. "Shouldn't creating a reality take incredible amounts of power? How can that even work?!" You are more and more convinced that this old man is trying to con you out of your money.
"Should it? Tell me, do you have unlimited amounts of power? After all, everytime you make a decision you create different realities, young man. Doesn't seem to take all that much effort, judging by looks alone," the old man rebukes. "Frankly, I don't think that you actually care about the hows and whys. I think, you want my wares to be legit, but can't quite get yourself to believe me. Otherwise you would have already left my humble establishment."
He has you there. You really, really want to try one of these RWs and get a costume along with it, but they were expensive as fuck. Not so expensive that you couldn't afford it, but pricey enough that your vacation this year would be unlikely.
"You look like you might be willing to drop some serious cash here, young man," the wizard stated firmly, eyes fixed on you like a predator. "So, how about a deal?"
"You've got my attention," you immdiately answered.
"I'll give you one costume of your choice and a regular RW with a scenario of your choosing. You'll pay up once you come back to this reality," Hugh's supposedly magical cousin explained.
"If what you say is true, I could just stay in that other reality for years. What are you going to do then?" You ask, though you already decided to take him up. You couldn't lose here.
"Nothing. You'll get back ten minutes after engaging the RW, regardless of how long you stay there. And if you refuse to pay, I just retrieve my merchandise from you, along with your memories of this place. Neither of us can actually lose, as long as we are honest here."
"Deal!" you immediately agree.
"Great! Now, what kind of costume do you want and who is it for?"
You turn back to the costumes and start to think...
