... a male jogger steadily pacing himself along the forest's rocky path. If the scent of his sweat didn't give him away, his bright yellow & orange workout attire and the swishing of his running shorts definitely would have. He swiftly passes the bushes you're crouching in, not knowing how close he is to death. You steathily follow the human's trail and watch him move. He really is fast, not faster than you by any means, but for a human. And there is barely any meat on his bones. Eating him wouldn't be worth it. But turning him could work out nicely.
You use your tail to swish some branches around, causing the runner to stop and look around. "Who's there?" Under the cover of darkness, he can't see you leap to the other sideas of the trail and do the same thing. Now he's scared and has nowhere to run, thinking that he's surrounded. "Sh-show yourselves." While he frantically tries to reach for his phone to dial 911, you roar and creep out from the bushes. The poor man sees your glowing red eyes and is paralyzed, his phone hitting the ground. You raise yourself up to your full height on all fours and walk straight up to him, still taller than him by a foot. You don't give him a chance to speak and push him onto the ground with your head. The man, still frozen in fear, remains motionless as you walk on top of him and target his arm. With your enhanced hearing, you can practically see his heart beating a lightyear a minute. "Be still. This will be over soon." Before his heart bursts, you open your large jaw, the five inch fangs dripping with saliva, and lightly clamp down on his arm. The man tries to scream out in pain but no noise escapes.
Your mouth fills with blood but the bite didn't even break any bones. A strange warm feeling grows in your fangs and you release the arm. As you do, you can faintly see what looks like a black vein growing from the wound and up his arm before disappearing. When you think it reaches the heart, the man starts to writhe on the ground. Its obvious he's in extreme pain but there's nothing you can do. His transformation goes much slower than yours but now you can see what it looks like to change. The runner rolls off his back, his arms and face now in the dirt. His back arches sharply, and almost like a pulse, it pops, growing taller. His shoulders and chest also grow larger, forcing his plastic clothes to rip and fall to the ground. With every one of these pulses, his bones cracks and grow larger as his head and tail reshape and morph. Fur has been filling in all this time as a light brown pelt that matches his old hair color. Unable to look away, I think to myself 'Thanks to my mistress for making my transformation quick. This looks extremely painful.'
As its clear he's reaching the end of the turn, I pace around my new packmate. He didn't grow nearly as big as me but he still would tower over any human. His muscles are much more lean than my bulk and his legs look longer. A runner as a human and runner as a werewolf, I suppose. The spasms die down to no movement and my new wolf slowly lifts himself up to stand on his new hind legs. He quickly catches his balance and faces me. I'm sitting down like a dog to show I'm calm but he's too freaked out to tell. His snout struggles but he manages to day "What did you do?"
"You are a werewolf. I turned you as my mistress, the Witch of these woods, turned me. So now you are under my control and will do as I say." He tries to back away to run, but I roar freezing him in his place again. "You may be fast, but you are not strong enough to oppose my power. You will do as I command?" He nods but I roar again, forcing him to lay down and rest his head on the ground, bowing to me.
"Good. Now a pack is only as strong as it's individuals. Are you hungry after the turn?" The Runner's tail wags and he nods. "Get up. I was going to eat you but I decided to turn you instead. We need to hunt, but we have to work together."
I leap back into the thick wood and start running searching for a scent. Runner easily catches up and tris to sniff out prey too. But as Alpha, I have a better sense of smell and I track down a small herd of deer grazing in a clearing. We position ourselves in the direction of the wind so the deer don't smell us and escape. "What do we do now, boss?"
