In the morning, her mom wore a light blue shirt undone to show her cleavage tucked into a black pencil skirt with a thin black belt. She had matching heels on. Her long hair was tied in a loose ponytail. Juliet was wearing her school uniform and was packing her lunch in a bag. Veronica came in and grabbed her keys and went out the door. Juliet lookd down and noticed that her lunch was gone.
“Yea, that was your lunch I was packing.”
The dark haired girl said sarcastically. Her mom walked back in and kissed her on the cheek and said,” Thanks sweetie.”
Then left for work. Juliet didn’t have time to make another lunch, so she had to leave if she was going to make it to the bus in time. On the bus she sat next to Kayla like always. Juliet broke the silence,” Why did you tell my mom I was gay?”
“I might have mentioned it or like hinted to it, but I didn’t tell her directly.” Kayla responded.
Juliet didn’t say anything so Kayla continued,” Anyways, I thought you were. I mean, if you add girls to your potential date list, you could actually be asked out.”
Juliet blushed and retorted,” Even if I was gay, how would everyone else know that?”
The strawberry blonde pushed some of Juliet’s raven locks up behind her head,” maybe you could cut your hair short or something?”
Juliet pushed her friend’s hands away,” yea thanks for the advice, but I think I’m good.”
Kayla smiled and said,” Okay, if you say so.”
Juliet rolled her eyes and stared out the window.
