Katie picked up the phone and called Kellie's house. Eventually, Kellie picked up and asked, "Hello?"
"Hello, Kellie," said Katie.
"Who is this?" asked Kellie uncertainly.
"It's Katie from next door," said Katie.
"Oh, you sound different," said Kellie a bit suspiciously.
Katie frowned and that before asking, "You think you could come over for a bit?"
"Uh, sure, just a minute," said Kellie.
It didn't take long for Kellie to come over. Lisa met at the door, excited to have her favorite babysitter. Kellie gave Lisa a sweet smile, but she gave Katie a shocked look. "Sorry to call on short notice, but I'm trying to set up a date," said Katie.
"Er, could I speak with you in the kitchen for a moment?" asked Kellie.
"Sure, Lisa, could you go play in your room for a while?" asked Katie.
"Ok, Aunt Katie," said Lisa, bounding up the stairs. This time, Katie definitely saw the shocked expression on Kellie's face.
The two of them went into the kitchen and Katie asked, "Is there something wrong?"
"Yeah, why did you make yourself older?" asked Kellie, "You're supposed to be Lisa's older sister, not her aunt."
Katie blinked in surprise. She had wished for reality to alter after becoming Lisa's older sister, but it appeared not everyone's memory was altered by the latest change. "I just wanted to see what it was like to be the aunt for once," said Katie.
"And what was that about a date?" demanded Kellie.
"I'm dating Jason in this new reality," said Katie.
"But what about us?" asked Kellie, sounding deeply offended, "You're going to just grow up and forget about me?"
"No, I'd never do that," said Katie, "It can be temporary if we want. I can make Lisa aunt again. She won't even notice a difference." She brushed Kellie's hair and said, "I can make you older for a while, so we can finally have some real adult fun with each other."
Kellie didn't flinch back, but she didn't melt into Katie's arms. "I thought you were dating Mr. Turner," she said.
"I think I'm bi in this reality," said Katie, thinking it over. Now she felt similar attraction to both boys and girls. "Yes, definitely bi. I might have been bi earlier too," said Katie.
"Then how do you know you're being honest with me?" asked Kellie.
"Kellie, I would never lie to hurt you," said Katie. But Kellie was staring at her suspiciously. Katie rubbed the ring on her finger in thought. There was another possibility. She could alter Kellie's memory, make her forget all about the ring and their previous relationship, but that didn't seem fair. But would letting Kellie know more make things easier?
