"Hmm, ", pondered Jacob, the purple bounce ball person, "so how do I start you, Matt". Matt who was now a fighter jet occupying most of the garden they were in replied via the intercom, "Naw, I'd not do it, there's to little space. You should have turned me into a helicopter". "Ohh bummer", said Jacob and looked over the many controls. Eventually he found one labeled "FORM", a 3 position switch with the options "HUM", "HYB" and "JET" set to "JET". "Hmm, I wonder what this does." Jacob pondered and switched the switch to "HYB".
Suddenly, Matt shrinked a lot and gained more and more of his human proportions. His legs and arms reformed to humanoid proportions as the wings and engines moves to his back, forming something not unlike a jet pack. His face now was able to points forward again, though its appearance still was rather plane like, making it look a bit like a snake or a crocodile. Being able to move freely again, Matt was looking for Jacob. "Where are you", he asked just before getting a reply from his friend via the intercom. "I'm in your cockpit."
From Jacob's perspective not a lot has changed. He still seemed to be inside the cockpit of a jet plane. However the controls have changed a bit. While the "FORM" control was still there, additional controls appeared, including a "VOICE" section with an alphanummeric keypad. Jacob tried it out and typed "ASDF" on it and Matt immediately responded by saying "asdf". "Cool!", exclaimed Jacob and typed "I am Matt, I'm a plame". Before he could correct his typo, Matt exclaimed "I am Matt, I'm a plame!... Hey stop it!". Jacob pouted and tried some other controls, he found one labeled "WALK" and pressed it. At first nothing happened, but then Jacob gently pushed the flight stick forward. Matt slowly walked forward and exclaimed, "Hey, that's not fair!". Jacob pushed the stick to the sides and could see Matt going left and right. Eventually Jacob became more confident and pushed the stick further increasing Matt's walk to a job then a full run, fully under Jacob's controll... then he hit a tree and fell over.
Luckily Matt was still partially machine, so he was durable enough to withstand that impact without major damage. 'Next time be more careful", he shouted at his friend.
