Panicking, Mary - a cross between a bunny and octopus - reaches for a vial. She feels like things are out of control, she's an octopus! Being not used to tentacles and having no bone structure, Mary can't grasp a vial! But, her tentacle runs through a pool of mixed potions.
Bringing up her wet tentacle, Mary looks at it. She can't get a vial, but she did get some of the precious magical liquid. Still panicking and not thinking straight, Mary stuffs her tentacle into her mouth and licks up the juice.
Taking out the tentacle, Mary looks around and comes to her senses. She just had a mix of potions that were who knows what! As the realization comes to her she begins to change.
She slims down a little, but remains ponderous. She, for the moment, can move at a slow waddle. Mary makes her way slowly over to her mirror and watches in horror as other changes come.
Her once proud bunny ears flatten and turn gray and fur-less. They stretch out and flop down over her head. Next, her bunny nose pushes outward and also turns gray. It grows about a foot and then stops and hangs downward. Testing, Mary finds she can move her nose in any manner of direction. A little disconcerted, Mary lets out a trumpet which promptly flusters her even more. She's got the ears and nose of an elephant!
Mary turns her attention to her legs/tentacles. They begin to reform bone and structure as they slowly grow into the hind legs of a horse. Light brown fur and fetlocks grow up and down them. Black hooves solidify. Mary stamps her disapproval.
The last change happens to her bunny tail. Like her nose, her tail slowly grows longer. But it begins to grow a bright red fur with a white tip. Soon, a full fox tail swishes behind Mary.
Everything else seems to remain the same. Mary hadn't had enough of the mixed potions to do more.
Looking at the mirror, Mary sees a menagerie of animals lumped together looking back at her.
