I opened the door slightly, quietly, so as not to surprise anyone inside. What I found... was not quite like what I had expected. An old, hidden robotics laboratory? For a girl? I mean, not to be effensive to any women reading this, but seriously?
Selina was definitely right, I didn't understand this at all.
What was she, some kind of mechanic?
Luckily (I guess), I was about to find out.
Coming in fully, I saw Selina sitting across the room.
"What is this place?" Hmmm... that was probably to tacky, "What I meant to say was- "
"I know what you meant to say! The only other person I've brought here, fainted from confusion! The truth is that I could never marry, even if I wanted to. Thankfully I don't."
"I still don't understand," I replied calmly.
-Silence-
"Okayyyyy. I know you're probably not going to believe this," she took a deep breath before speaking again.
Suddenly I felt cold all over.
"I am half robot. There I've said. Now you can leave if you want." she, almost to tears, "I guess I don't really care if you tell anyone or not, it's not like I could stop you. Besides, I had to tell someone anyway..." she trails off.
I can see why the other person fainted. It isn't every day you find out that the hot... ... er... I mean just girl, in school is half machine. This changes a lot of things...
"Okay," I honestly answer, still almost speachless. Other people might not be nearly as suprised as me though. In fact, most people would probably just say 'so?'.
But not me. If this is a big deal to her, then I'm not the type to just walk away.
After a few moments of staring at me, she appears to finally work up the courage to ask: "Aren't you freaked out at all right now? Why are you running away screaming?"
"Why should I?" I answered. Really my heart was breaking for this poor girl. I would feel terrible if I found out that I was actually part robot, "You're not doing me any harm."
All of a sudden, Selina just burst out into a laughing fit, while I practically jumped out of my pants!
"Ummmm... ok now what's so funny?" I asked, kind of nervously.
Finally quietly down, she sighed and finished with, " I guess I just thought you would think that, that that was just the creepiest thing ever!"
"Only if you want me too," I said,still a bit wide eyed. I tryes to let out a nervous laugh, but I wasn't gonna happen.
"Sorry, I really didn't mean to scare you, I just thought it was super funny; part that weird 'robot humer' you could say."
"You don't really Act like a robot..." I responded, finally gathering my bareings.
"It's, well... kind of a setting."
"I see," I nodded. No I didn't really get it, but I also really want her to roll over laughing again,"So... what are you doing right now?"
"Actually, just my homework. Its not like I'm one of those really-freaking-weirdo scientists." she answered, giving me an odd look.
"Oh. Do you want any help?" What was I supposed to say?
"Not really on this, but there is something else I wanted to ask you about..."
