Claudia's parents, Tom and Marjorie had some coffee and were in the kitchen with Claudia.
"Wait here, I'll help Mika over here." Claudia said as she helped Mika walk over to meet her parents.
"Oh, you poor dear." Marjorie said looking at Mika's bruises and how she was slightly grasping her chest.
"I've looked worse." Mika said smiling and trying to laugh but it just made her chest hurt.
"Wait a minute......now I remember you. You've actually come over to our house a few times." Tom said looking closely at Mika.
"Really? Wait, yes, now I remember you, Mika." Marjorie said as she looked closely at Mika who began to cry.
"What's wrong? It's not something we said earlier is it?" Marjorie asked.
"My....my parents.....they don't want me at their house. They hate me. But Ms. O'Toole has offered to let me stay with her and Katie." Mika said trying to hold back her tears now.
Marjorie went over to hug Mika as she began to cry. Marjorie then looked over at her husband who looked at his wife and knew what she was thinking.
"Marjorie, are you sure? I mean, she's already got...." Tom tried to say but he looked at Mika and Claudia and then rubbed the back of his neck.
"Okay dear, okay." Tom sighed.
"Okay what? What are you two even thinking about?" Claudia asked.
"Mika, if you would like, instead of staying at Ms. O'Toole's house, you could stay over at our house with us." Tom offered.
"Really? I...I could stay with Claudia?" Mika asked as she and Claudia hugged happily.
"Yes....but, if you do. We have some rules you need to abide by. One: you both sleep in separate rooms, Two: if either one of you has homework, you finish it before you hang out with the other, and Three: neither one of you will get special treatment, you both have to do what we ask." Tom said.
Mika and Claudia looked at each other then whispered to the other.
"Okay daddy." Claudia said.
"Sounds good to me as well sir." Mika said in agreement.
"You can call me Tom, Mika." Tom said.
"Right, oh, and Ms. O'Toole, I hope you don't mind if I stay with them." Mika said to Lisa.
"It's fine by me, I'm not sure how I would've handled your parents." Lisa said shaking the thought from her mind.
"Oh yeah, speaking of parents, have you gotten word from the parents of the other two who attacked you?" Marjorie asked.
Katie, Kellie, and the other girls almost forgot about what Ashley and Jennifer's parents might do to them.
"Not yet, but we think they'll probably say Mika and Claudia attacked them without reason. Those.....those jerks would do anything to get us in trouble." Kellie said.
"What are their names?" Lisa asked them.
"One of them is named Ashley, she's blonde and the other one is Jennifer, she's the girl with brunette hair." Katie said describing them.
Lisa thought for a moment about them, remembering seeing two girls like them at the beach the other day.
"And these two girls go to your school?" Lisa asked.
The girls all nodded.
"I think I've met their mothers before. That's probably where they get their personalities from, what are their last names?" Lisa asked them.
"Ashley Moore and Jennifer Bishop." Claudia answered her.
"Oh...." Lisa and Marjorie both said.
"Wait, you two know their moms?" Katie asked.
"Oh yeah. Candice Moore and Helen Bishop, they both come from rich families. Which may explain their snobbishness." Lisa explained to them.
"Candice has had a lot of plastic surgery done to herself over the years, while Helen has basically let herself go, but she's still got that attitude." Marjorie said.
"Well, I'm going to call both of them and give them a stern talking to about what they did to my daughter and her girlfriend." Tom said as he went to go use the phone.
