After school, Katie and Kellie took the bus home and became worried when they saw their parents waiting for them.
"Are we in still in trouble?" Kellie asked her parents.
Lee, Maggie, and Lisa all looked at each other before looking back at the girls.
"No girls, you're not in any trouble but come inside, we want to tell you something we think you'll like." Lee said as he directed them into their house.
Once they all got inside, Katie and Kellie sat down on the couch while Kellie tightly held Katie's hand still worried it could be bad news.
"Okay girls, it's been about a week now since the....incident and we still don't condone what happened, we know that you two weren't directly involved in the fight. So Kellie, your mother and I along with your aunt, Katie, were talking about doing something nice with just the five of us." Lee explained to them.
"Whew, that's a relief. So what are we going to do then?" Katie asked.
"Well we went back and forth on it, and we finally decided to take you girls.....to a jazz club!" Lisa admitted to them, although Katie and Kellie didn't seem too thrilled.
"A....jazz club? I don't know, Katie and I were thinking about going to a convention with one of our friends and possibly more." Kellie said to them.
"Come on girls, it'll be fun. We could even dress up for it." Maggie suggested to them.
Katie and Kellie thought about how it might be kind of boring, but then again, Katie and Kellie thought it might be nice to dress up, they both thought of how beautiful the other one would look.
"Please?" Maggie and Lisa both looked at their daughters with sad puppy eyes which made the girls roll their eyes as they smiled.
"Okay, I'll go." Kellie said.
"So will I." Katie said.
"Great, now remember to call your friends to tell them you'll be busy." Maggie reminded them.
