The basketball swished through the hoop as the buzzer went off. The girls basketball team (not that there was any other basketball team) had defeated their traditional rivals, and the folks in the stands stood up and cheered. Nothing new to the person who had made the shot, Logan Hanley.
What was new was sharing the moment of triumph with a passionate smooch with a teammate, Allison Parker.
Allison knew how hard she and Logan had worked for this moment. Although some of the skills Logan had learned as a boy had come with her to her new body, it was a new body, shorter, curvier, and differently balanced, most notably by a huge weight on the chest. Logan and Allison had worked for hours relearning the sport they loved, but while Allison just wanted to make the girls team, Logan wanted to be as big a star as a girl as he had been as a boy.
And she had spent endless hours on the court, shooting, passing and dribbling and playing one on ones and pickup games whenever she could. She had to break down the mental barriers that caused her to disdain the girl's game, and fully internalize the fact that she was going to have to work just as hard, in some ways harder, to excel. And she had kept up her grades as well--Logan hadn't been a dumb jock as a boy, and damn sure wasn't going to be one as a girl.
"Guess who's going to get fucked like never before tonight?" Allison whispered into her lover's ear. And Logan just blushed. And the crowd cheered even louder.

Millie Quesada was at the game. It was important to stay in touch with school and community events while she was on leave. Because Millie Quesada was going to have a baby.
Getting pregnant in the new reality took work and planning. Accidental pregnancies had disappeared, and Planned Parenthood was a shell of its former self. Millie had wanted to get pregnant (Juliana had not) and she wanted to start a family as soon as possible, a position in which she was strongly supported by Paloma and Natalia. She had conceived on her wedding night.
A child. Of her own. To love and to teach. Millie silently thanked the goddess in whom she had come to believe.

Elizabeth was trying to make a decision. Shortly after giving birth, Robbie had suggested a polyamorous relationship with Mary and Lucy. On one level, a level slightly below the waist, Elizabeth was attracted to the idea. But she wondered if she would end up a Mom figure to three recklessly horny "daughters."
Robbie was taking primary responsibility for her new baby, as most New Women mothers were. (Some of the more cynical Born Women had suspected that New Women mothers with Born Women partners would shove off responsibility on their partners as men typically had, but in most cases New Women had powerful maternal instincts.) Still, some help would be nice, just from a practical point of view.
And then of course, there was the potential impact on Billie, who probably didn't need any more dramatic changes in her living situation.

Drumf was disappointed. Sure, she had a great body, but so did everyone else, and nobody cared that much after a few months. Sure, she had a superhot wife, but so did everyone else, and nobody cared at all. And a lot of the born women she had harassed as a man were talking about it now, sometimes in great and embarrassing detail. Sometimes she wondered what the world and her own position in it would be if there had never been a Great Change. . .
