On Sunday night, Alice Stevens said goodbye to her mother and father in Moon Lake, and she and Tom Harold returned to their home in Seattle so Tom could get to work the next morning.
The next morning, Tom woke up, got dressed and ate breakfast, and kissed Alice goodbye before he left for his job at the paper. With the weekend being over and the recent shooting in Moon Lake, he had a story to write about. Of course, he'd have to remove the fact that Dymixious was a were until the world was ready to know the truth.
Tom pulled his car into the parking lot and walked across the parking lot to get to the "headquarters" of the paper. Once he was inside, he quickly made his way to the floor where he worked and to his cubicle. Once he powered up his computer and gotten everything "ready to go" for the day, Tom began working on the article about the shooting in Moon Lake.
"I should probably double check with colleagues before I show this to the boss," Tom said to himself as he was writing the article. "I'd hate for this to come out sounding like police brutality." After a few quick revisions, Tom finished up his article. Printing it out onto a piece of paper, Tom looked at the clock on his computer.
10:30 AM
Tom sighed. This was going to be a long day.
