When noon rolled around and the bell for lunch rang, Claire had just finished sweeping the floors of the cafeteria while Olivia had finished wiping down the tables. She put her broom down against the wall and made her way towards the teacher's lounge to get her food from the refrigerator, but she stopped when she was halfway there and remembered that she hadn't had time to pack her lunch this morning.
"Need something to eat?" Olivia said as she came up behind the new werecat and handed her an apple. "I don't have much in my lunch today. I only had that apple and a sandwich."
"Thanks Olivia," Claire said. "I really appreciate it." The two co-workers sat down at the nearest employees only table and began to eat.
"So what happened over the weekend that made you so happy?" Olivia asked curiously.
"Well...I know I told you about my hunt for a were species before," Claire said. "Once I'd found out about the secret of Moon Lake and how I could become a were myself, I put it high on my to-do list to become a were. Of course, I was more concerned about getting a job first. Once I found a temporary and somewhat well paying job here, my next priority was becoming a were. After doing a bit of 'research', I decided that a werecat was what I wanted to be."
"Yeah, you've told me that quite a few times Claire," Olivia said, chuckling. She then proceeded to take a bite out of her sandwich.
"Anyway, on Halloween, I went to the dance at the high school to talk to some of the chaperones there and meet some people. It was while I was there that I met a woman named Jen Decker. She's a werecat who lived here growing up and moved back here with her 17 year old son Tad. She told me about how werecats were strictly Bi or Lesbian and warned me of the risks, and I told her I wanted to be a werecat more than anything else...so she transformed me that night."
Olivia swallowed what was in her mouth. "Really? That's great Claire!"
"But it doesn't end there," Claire said. "The next day, I discovered that the transformation had made me into a complete lesbian, and I now had a serious crush on Jen. I wanted something to happen between us, but I knew that it might not happen. Her husband was the one that Lionel Ulysses killed over in Quantico. That's why they moved back here. She was still grieving, and I knew that something probably wouldn't happen between us for a long time..."
"But then...she called me..." Claire continued. "She said she wanted to be with me, and now...I'm dating her."
"Claire, I'm so happy for you!" Olivia said. "You found love and you're a were! It's everything you've wanted since you've moved here!"
"That it is," Claire said. "I'm going to talk to Jen a bit more over the coming weeks. I want to move in with her so we can really get frisky when we want."
"I'm sure Jen would love that," Olivia said. "Why don't you give her a call and ask her about it sometime soon?"
"Yeah," Claire said. "I can do that."
