Drew feels a sudden attachment to this dragon, not romantic but more an eagerness to please. “What’s going on? I should be upset about this, shouldn’t I?”
The dragon shrugs. “Maybe. But it doesn’t matter, now. My crew beat you, so you have to join. I’m in charge of this ship, and you’ll do anything I ask. Got it, babe?”
Blushing at being called “babe,” Drew nods. “Y-Yes, sir.”
Her response makes the dragon narrow his eyes. “Hey, babe, this is a pirate ship. Say it right.”
“Aye, Captain.”
“Better. Still, needs work.” The dragon captain turns to another crewmember. “Tanya, show her the ropes. She’s gotta be ready when the next challenger gets here.”
The girl strikes a sexy pose and giggles. “Aye, aye, Cap’n!”
With that, Drew is led back out on deck for her first day as a romantic pirate.
Time passes, and days go by in a blur. Life on the ship proves to be strenuous but not too bad. Within a few weeks, Drew fits in perfectly with the rest of the crew, strutting about on deck, maintaining the ship, and keeping her captain happy. Deep inside, she has to admit she rather likes her new life.
Suddenly, they hear a bell ringing. “Uh-oh, girls!” Lily the bosun calls out. “Challenger ahoy! Get yer swords ready! Let’s make another girl for the captain!”
Along with the others, Drew draws her cutlass and points it skyward. “Arrrrrrrr!”
Just then, a figure leaps over the rail and lands on deck, sword at the ready. Drew licks her lips at the sight of a tall young man with a thick orange tail, long pointed ears, and even longer feet on his otherwise human body.
A kangaroo, Drew thinks. Automatically, she glances at her own body, but whatever kangaroo features she had before had been lost in her conversion. As such, she is one of the few purely human girls in the crew.
Without warning, the intruder jumps high into the air on his kangaroo feet. Landing in the midst of the pirates, he sends many of them flying with a single attack. Despite the violence, Drew feels no fear, only attraction. After all, she has nothing to lose. Something inside her tells her that none of the crew is in danger of dying. Instead, if they win, they gain another sister, and if they lose, the challenger will become their new captain and help them escape from this place.
“Oh, such a strong boy!” She coos as she charges towards him along with several other crew-mates. “Avast ye, cutie! Show me your big sword!”
The kangaroo boy crouches in a defensive posture even as the girls launch their collective attack.
