Fate it is said loves irony, and so with the lateness of the evening. The only help Tad was able to find was Mall security officer Frank Payne. The 45 year old wreak had few pleasures in his life, lost his good job as plant manager. His wife had left him and took they're kids back to Maine to live with her folk's. And now this six dollar and hour security job was all he could get, still Frank took his job very seriously. He knew this pair had been ripping off the place, he'd just never caught them doing it. And the only real joy in his life came from catching shoplifters now. Honestly he hadn't believed Tad's wild story of his buddy being sick, Frank figured it was just a trick to get him out of the store.
"I'm telling you Chad was right there man!" Tad insisted as they walked up the alleyway.
"I don't see anything but a pile of clothes." Frank snarled kneeling down to look at the clothing. Sure enough they looked like the clothes that other little crimial had been waring. Going tho' the pockets Frank found all types of obviously stolen goods. Grabbing Tad and roughly slamming him up against the alley wall Frank quickly handcuffed him.
"Hey what are you going?" Tad screamed. Frank held up the stolen goods and Chad's clothes.
"Busting you for shoplifting and I'm goin to get your friend too just as soon as I spot him!"
"But man... hes really sick honest!" Tad protested.
"Sure he is...bet hes inside right now robbing the mall blind!" Frank snorted. "Next time you bait and steal, don't give the stuff you stole around for the guy your trying to distract to find genius!" Frank chuckled as he lead Tad around to the back of the Mall heading for his private office and detention cell....
