Kevin stepped out of the pleasantly air-conditioned pet shop into the heavy, musty, hot uncomfortable noonday sun. He couldn't help thinking that he should've waited another three hours before quiting, so he could've at least walked home at night when it was a bit cooler. He was tempted to use the phrase 'things can't get any worse', but things always got worse.
"Hi, again."
Always....
"I really dunno why you're talking to me, seeing as you cost me my job."
Kevin was not in the mood for any more Crazy Girl.
"I didn't do that. You quit yourself."
"I quit cause you're outta your mind! I mean, what is it - some kinda hobby?"
She blinked, confused.
"You know, telling people insane things like you need a new dragon..."
"I do need a new dragon."
"Yeah?" Kevin rolled his eyes. "What for?"
Crazy Girl smiled evilly.
"To rule the world!"
He whistled, alarmed, but nonetheless, impressed.
"You're a new kind of crazy."
"Want to help?"
"Help what?"
"Rule the world."
