I wish I was the tallest, Mandy thought. The first time I see a shooting star and I wish for that?! I could have wished for anything in the world! Even for Brooke and Jill to stop picking on me.
Meanwhile, both her roommates had woken up and were getting out of bed. Jill walked by Mandy's room and paused for a moment. She felt dizzy for a moment. Mandy watched Jill and figured she must be really hung over.
“Morning Shorty!” Jill said to Mandy. “What are you staring at?”
“Just you, hungover,” Mandy replied. “Party last night?”
“Yeah,” Jill said feeling another wave of dizziness. “You should have come. Would have been fun. Oh I forgot - you had that make-up test today. How did that go?”
“I didn't make it,” Mandy said disappointed. “I must have forgot to set my alarm...”
“Hahahaha!” Jill couldn't help but laugh, loudly too. “Prank's on you. I totally turned off your alarm!”
“You ass!” Mandy stood up. “I can't believe it! That's the worst thing you've done!”
She walked over to Jill and looked up. For some reason, she didn't have to look up as much. She swung her arm about to hit Jill. Jill caught Mandy's arm and twisted it backwards.
“Oww!” Mandy screamed in pain.
“Don't ever try that again!” Jill shouted. “Understand?”
Mandy nodded and Jill let go. It felt like Jill had almost broken her arm. Mandy was almost in tears.
“Aww,” Jill said. “Did I make the little baby cry?”
Jill then felt yet another wave of dizziness! She was just wearing her underwear and a pair of socks as she hadn't gotten dressed yet. Mandy didn't seem as small as she used to be. Jill found she didn't have to look down as far anymore.
“Are you growing, shrimp?” Jill asked. “It's about time you had a growth spurt!”
Jill walked into the kitchen. Mandy watched as she did. She noticed something was off about it.
