Kelly really enjoyed riding in the car. It seemed so big and fast as she sat buckled in the back seat. She honestly felt like a kid again.
"So is this the spot?"
Kelly sat up and looked out the window.
"Yeah, let me out."
It took the little girl longer than usual for her to climb out of the car. She hopped out and ran for the gun. A neighbor out watering their yard was confused and watched Kelly closely. Kelly picked up the gun and got back into the car.
"Oh wow! I can't wait to see that thing," said Jen.
Kelly climbed into her seat and buckled up.
"It looks just like you said - can I check it out?"
"Okay, but be careful," said Kelly as she handed it over.
Denise rolled it around in her hands as Jen watched closely.
"Cool, why don't we go over to my house for now?" said Denise.
She gave the gun to Jen then put the car into drive. Kelly held on as Denise's car flew down the streets.
"Can I fire the gun Kelly?"
"On what?"
"I don't know .... just the next thing I see," said Jen.
"I guess," replied Kelly.
Jen rolled down her window and spotted a guy on a bike. She aimed the gun and fired! The man and his bike started to shrink. As they passed him, he was only half his size. He tumbled off his bike and hit the side walk hard.
The girls all burst into laughter.
"Did you see his face!"
"Eh, he was probably a jerk anyways," said Denise.
The laughing faded as they parked in front of Denise's house.
"Hey - what are we going to say about Kelly if your family sees her?"
"She can be....your little cousin we have to watch," replied Denise.
"Sounds good to me. How about it, little cuz?" teased Jen.
Kelly thought the concept was funny so she started to giggle.
The girls got out of the car and went inside the house. Jen reached down and held Kelly's hand.
"Now you be a good girl and listen to me okay?"
Kelly smiled and nodded her head.
