"Well," Claudia grinned. "If we're 21 I say we get a drink."
The girls all nodded in agreement, if they were going to be at the club they might as well have a drink.
"Okay," Mika asked. "Whose buying?" Katie sighed as she reached into her purse. "Guees I have the first round," she sighed as she began to manuever towards the bar. As they watched Katie they began to take in the club. Although it was still relatively early they could see a good amount of people inside. Most people were still milling around having drinks. The girls watched as couples made small talknwith eachother while others flirted.
"Okay here they are," Katie called returning with a tray. The girls stared down at the eight shots Katie had brought. "Damn Katie," Claudia exclaimed. "Why you bring so many?" Katie huffed as she began to pass the shots out. "Do you realize what a pain in the ass that was," she huffed. "It took me forever to get there. No way am I going back anytime soon. So drink up."
The girls now stared at the shots in their hands."What is it anyway?" Mika asked.
"Tequila," Katie said casually. Causing the three to gape.
"TEQUILA!!!"
"Ugh I hate tequila," Mika groaned.
"Have you ever had tequila before Katie?" Claudia asked. Katie shrugged. "Well Lisa let me try wine before," she said. "And I've tried beer before. Whats the big deal?"
"Well nothing unless you want to get wasted," Mika said flatly. Katie and Kellie gave eachother concerned looks. Neither one had ever been to alot of high school parties, so their drinking experience was limited. Claudia looked at the girls before smiling. "Don't worry," she grinned. "It takes alot more than two shots to mess you up."
"Yeah but the burn is awful," Mika groaned. "And it tastes like crap."
"Okay ladies," Claudia exclaimed holding her shots high. "To dumbass decisions."
The girls laughed before throwing back the first shot. Mika and Kellie before grimaced in disgust while Claudia shivered. Katie stuck her tongue out of her mouth, feeling like her tongue was now carpeted. "Bleh," she groaned. "That was awful."
"Still have one more Kat," Kellie said grimly as the girls stared at the remaining shots. The four now groaned in disgust before frowning at Katie. Sighing and accepting their fate the four of them downed their second shots, groaning in disgust as the tequila burned their throats.
"Ugh that was awful," Mika groaned. The others, wearing sour expressions, nodded in agreement. "From now on Katie," Claudia stated. "Your banned from picking shots."
"I didn't know," Katie said meekly as the others chuckled. "Well now you do," Claudia said. "Cause the next time you try I'm going to employ my magic on you."
"What magic," Kellie asked, genuinely intrigued.
"My magic bitch face," Claudia smirked. "You'd be amazed how well it works."
The girls laughed as they set their empty glasses down. "C'mon girls lets dance," Mika exclaimed, taking Claudia by the hand. Not needing encouragement Kellie and Katie followed as the girls began dancing.
Listening to the music Katie and her friends danced excitedly. All smiles she could see eachone of her friends laighing and enjoying themselves. Katie felt warmth in her cheeks now, not realizing the tequila was working its way through her system.
As Katie glanced around she could see Ashley and Jennifer happily lounging in a booth. At Katie thought they were alone, as she looked more closely she could see another figure sitting with them. Although it was dark Katie could see the figure appeared older and a man. The male figure seemed familiar some how though but Katie couldn't place from where she knew him. Deciding the ask Kellie for help she turned to face her girlfriend, only to see Kellie looking across the dance floor with a look of concern.
"What is it," she asked.
Kellie jerked her head in that direction. Curious Katie looked only to gasp in surprise.
Lisa and Kumiko were dancong happily on the other side, oblvious to the fact Katie and her friends were here. Katie now paniced slightly as she grabbed Mika and Claudia's arms. The two stopped dancing, giving Katie an annoyed look. Katie now silently gestured across the dance floor. When the two saw who was their they began to curse silently.
"Shit," Claudia exclaimed. "I cant believe they're here."
"Well we should be okay right," Mika asked. "I mean we look older, I doubt Kumiko would recognize me right now."
"Maybe," Kellie said. "But Lisa knows about the ring. Theirs a good chance she would recognize us. Then we're really screwed."
The girls seemed to agree with Kellies assessment as they now tried to hide from the two women. "We should probably get out of here," Kellie said.
The others nodded as they now discreetly began to head for the exit hopeful Lisa and Kumiko wouldn't catch them
