"Fine," Bob said. "We'll stay. It's your move Mary."
Mary picked up the dice and rolled a three. "Ok, move three spaces left." She instructed her pieces. Suddenly, some shadowy text appeared on the crystal It read, "Use North, South, East, or West to move your character."
"Fine. Move three spaces East, then."
The piece obeyed, and began to move. Just before it reached the third space, however, Mary said, "Wait, I hear... something... a trap! Move on space North now!" The piece did so, just as what seemed to be a metal claw swiped at the place where the piece had just been. Once again, text appeared on the crystal. "Claw trap avoided. Bonus awarded." A card floated from one of the stacks and landed in Mary's hand. It was an Animal Card with a picture of an angry red dragon spewing flames. The text beneath it read, "Red Dragon: Gain fire blast, flight, short temper, and rage."
"Cool!" Mary said as she tucked the card in with the rest of her cards. "So, my turn's over then," She said as she pushed one of her huge ears out of her face. "Who'll go next?"
"I'll go." Bob said as he picked up the dice. He rolled a 6 and moved his piece five spaces North and one space West. Their was a flash and some cool battle music began playing. Text appeared on the crystal saying. "You have stepped on a battle square. Defeat the monster to stay in the game. You may use cards to help you defeat it, or you may flee, though this will make you lose three turns."
"I'll fight it," Bob said decisively. A large Orc appeared on the board in front of Bob's piece. "Hmmm, which card shall I use," Bob thought to himself. Finally, Bob chose...
