Because I believe beast-peoples are the reason no souls are born on Serra answered Mr. McAdam.
"Daddy, you can't mean that!" Emily exclaimed.
"Oh, but I do," Mr. McAdam replied.
"Wow, okay, stop right now," came a voice from everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
"Who said that?" Mr. McAdam yelled.
Suddenly, a male cat-man appeared out of thin air. "Do you seriously think that?" He asked.
"Who the fuck are you?"
"Answer my question!" He boomed.
"Of course I think that! Why else would I say that?"
The cat-man chuckled. "That is never something you should say within earshot of The First."
Mr. McAdam was stunned, "Y-you're The F-First?!?"
"Why of course I am. I created what you humans call 'Beast-men,'" The First replied. "I had given Bastet goddess status to take care of humans that were hateful to Beast-men, and then allowed her to take care of Stan, here, and then Stan's older brother came, so Gaļa took care of him. I didn't think I would have to intervene, but then you said the worst sentence ever, so I had to come. You have been hateful for far too long, so you must serve a punishment greater than Stan's and his brother's combined."
"Wh-what is that p-p-punishment?" Mr. McAdam asked, citing in fear.
"I'm glad you asked. I actually think that the goddesses should decide your fate. What do you think, girls?" He looked at Emily and I.
"Wait... You mean, us!?" Emily asked.
"Yes, I mean you. What do you want done to your father, since he's committed the greatest crime ever known to Serra?"
"Well..." I spoke up, "Maybe we should have him live out his entire life as a beast-man, but he has to start from scratch."
"Oohh, and then he gets to keep his original mind," Emily added.
"He has to live his life as a girl, and as the race of beast-man he despises the most," I added.
"Girls..." Mr. McAdam started, "no, please, Don-"
"SILENCE," The First boomed, shutting Mr. McAdam up, "let them finish."
"I think he should also be my pet, but never allowed to be anything more, even though he has a soul," I finished, "I added that last part because he treated me as less than a pet even after I became a part of the family."
"Very clever, Kitty," The First said. "It is settled, then. Your sentence, Mr. McAdam, will be for eternity, and you will fill it out as the young female pet of Kitty and Emily. Your new name will be Anastasia, and the race you will be during your sentence is..."
