Tiffany was in a predicament. If the only computer she could use was a public one, then there would be no way she could download the game again. Besides, she wouldn’t want something like that on a public computer, for everyone to use. Any other means of obtaining a computer would take too long – with ‘aware’ toggled, Tiffany had no knowledge of law school, and while she had looked through her things, it had appeared she was in her final year. The luncheon had been bad enough; she simply couldn’t live as a thirty-year old woman! No one was around to take care of her like they were when she had been stuck as a baby. She had to do something. She had to figure out what to do.
She knew that the computer wouldn’t just disappear. If it hadn’t been moved to another room in the house, then it had to have been taken by someone. Who could have been in the house?
She had seen a teenage boy and girl sitting at the computer! Max was eight, and probably didn’t know to go digging in the folder Tiffany had hidden the game. So Kyle probably turned Max and Amy into infants. And did Allison say she had a date? He must have done something to cause Fred to not be married to Allison.
“I’m leaving,” said Allison, popping into Tiffany’s room suddenly. “Remind me to hire Megan to baby-sit again next time we need it. She did a great job, and even tidied the place up a bit. Even though I think she brought over homework to do from college, seeing she had a laptop.”
Before Tiffany could say a word, Allison was gone. And it made perfect sense what had taken the computer. Megan, one of the most attractive girls from school, was an obvious friend with sixteen-year old Amy. She came over, they discovered the game, and things happened. What had happened to Kyle was furthest from Tiffany’s mind.
