You are an eleven year old boy in middle school. You are shy and introverted, and you spend slack periods in class reading. You look a lot younger than your actual age, so while other boys have been growing facial hair and developing an interest in girls, you have been a little bit left behind. For some reason, changes that are supposed to start happening to a boy your age just don't seem to be coming. Small and still wearing the clothes of a little boy, you don't seem to be going anywhere.
Well, some boys go through different changes than others. Some become men. Others, although not very many, become dragons. This is not widely known, though, and it catches most communities it happens in by surprise. By some strange magic, actually, the outside world remains completely ignorant of this phenomenon.
After going to bed as you normally would, dressed in pajamas that were bought when you were eight, you abruptly were cast into this situation. That is, you have, with no explanation as far as you know, woken up in the body of a dragon. You are curled up, in the posture of a dog, on top of your covers. Your pajamas are now completely in tatters, and the sheets are not in great shape.
You are about the size of a juvenile lion cub, and really, your body type seems to be suspiciously cat-like in some ways. Your scales are shiny and black, being smooth like those of the harmless varieties of snake. Your wings are webbed, with soft and stretchy but strong, pale flesh stretched between muscular digits.
The clock reads 4 a.m..
Now, it is important to answer how you feel about this situation before this story can progress. Are your INITIAL feelings about this positive, negative, or mixed?
