Suddenly, the rose itself started to stir and jump around. Edwin jumped back as she felt her wings flutter a bit. The rose seemed to jut out legs, with red slippers on the ends from the center of the blossom. The blossom itself popped right off the stem and walked around a bit in a confused manner before stomping its foot; and suddenly, a torso, head and arms sprang from what was now the top. The blossom revealed to be the skirt of a beautiful dress worn by this admittedly attractive lady with long, pointed ears poking out of curly pink hair topped with silvery vines with leaf-shaped gemstones.
"Whew, that's better." She said. "Now..." She looked behind her back, "...a-HEM!" she shouted before transparent wings, not unlike yours, sprouted from her back. "Thank you." She said, giving them a gentle flutter.
"Wh-who are you!?" Edwin asked.
"I'm Roseli! Princess Roseli, actually!" She answered with a curtsey. You were stunned silent as she fluttered toward you. "My, you turned out better than I thought!" She said, looking Edwin over.
"Y-you're a... fairy!"
"And, so are you, now! Isn't it wonderful? What's your name?"
"E-Edwin..." She answered.
"Hmm... doesn't quite fit the new you..." Roseli thought a moment and suggested: "Oh, how about Lavi, like the lavender petals of your dress?"
"I... I don't know... I..." Tears started to well up from Edwin's eyes.
"Oh, don't cry!" She said sympathetically. "I promise you'll LOVE being a fairy."
Edwin thought for a moment, before finally saying, "I guess I'll give it a shot. You can even call me Lavi!"
"Wonderful!" The rose-gowned fairy princess cheered. "First order of business..."
