You wake in the morning and find that the growth was not a dream. Your muscles are harder, you are taller, and certainly better equipped. That Equinum was great stuff! Too bad you only had the one vial. Maybe you could trade some of the other vials? You make your way back to the Merchant you visited yesterday. "Do you have any Equinum?" The man scowls at you. "I'm an honest merchant, I don't deal with those nasty potions. And you should stay away from them yourself! Don't you know that they..."
"Now, now!" He is interrupted by a heavyset giant of a woman who pushes in between you. "You don't want to cheat this handsome stranger of all the benefits of potions just because you don't like them, do you." She turned to glare at the merchant, who drew back. "I thought not."
"Now then." She smiles revealing crooked, sharp teeth that are obviously not human. "Let's see what you have to trade. I happen to have a very large stock of Equinum."
She leads you out of the merchant’s tent across to another that is filled with potions. "Such a jealous man. I can see you have already tried one potion. The more you drink, the better you get. Stronger, more virile, healthier. Since you have already had one, you only need five or six more for the full effect. Show me what you have."
She examines them carefully, setting the Minotaur Blood aside, then the Bimbo potions. She looks over the rest, and finally takes one pouch of imp food. "There. These items for seven bottles of Equinum. It is a very fair trade, and if you do not need the extra potion I will buy it back."
That certainly does sound like a fair deal - you already know how great the Equinum is. If the added power you got from one vial is just the start, how magnificent will you be after you get the full effect? You agree to the deal, and she hands you a bag with seven vials, then gathers the items she got from you. "I'd recommend that you wait until tonight, then drink six of the vials one right after the other. Or all seven if you want to be absolutely sure. Combining them all at once will make the effect much better." She seems to think. "And since you are obviously new in town, I'll be happy to offer you a place to stay. Just a clean stall in the stables, but it will be warm and dry and private. I'll even throw in breakfast in the morning, all for free."
You are amazed at her generosity, and soon find yourself in a roomy stall that has fresh straw on the floor, and a blanket to lay on. She pulls the gate shut, saying it will keep others out, and shows you how to reach over and undo the latch when you want to get out. Then she leaves you alone. A couple of horses in the stable snort, but it is otherwise quiet.
