A dimly lit spherical cloudstone chamber. A large cooking pot hung above a small lit cloudfire that provided a source of light within the dark tunnels stood at the center of the room. Several grey barrels and chests were clumped together in one side of the room while the other side had a rickety writing desk that was mismatched with a small ornate chair that was far too tacky to mix well with the interior of the chamber.
Ilvir didn’t pay attention to any of this however, and his attention was instead focused on what stood on the opposite side of the room. Even from a distance no one would mistake the creature in front of Ilvir as a regular human. It’s entire humanoid body enveloped in a strange black shiny substance that Ilvir couldn’t tell whether it was skin or fur, a long fluffy dark tail, two long shiny bat-like wings, and what Ilvir couldn’t help but look at, a large shiny sheath with two big balls to seal the deal.
The creature grinned at Ilvir with it’s canine face, it’s white fangs clearly visible as it stood with one foot over an unconscious but uninjured Kitty, whose slow breathing was the only visible sign she was alive
“Well well, listen here golem, I suggest you head back to your rocky plane and teach your pet some manners. She could’ve scratched me.” The bat like creature spoke in a sultry tone, its body making a tiny squeak everytime it moved. it’s eyes examining every inch of Ilvir who stood there, clearly looking for an opening to attack.
“What are you beast? What did you do to my feline companion?” Ilvir said accusingly, reading both his fists to charge at any moment.
“Now now, if you want to get technical, the cat clearly made the first hostile move. I simply ran away and was forced to defend myself. “ the creature answered calmly.
“Only because you snuck up on us, in a dark tunnel with no light, what was she supposed to think?” Ilvir said, raising his voice as his rage rose.
“Before you decide to initiate combat think about what may happen. You run in for a punch or maybe you cast a spell. In that time I use my strength that may or may not be very strong to crush your pet into a pulp. I’m sure this rowdy feline must mean something to you.” The bat reasoned,
Ilvir didn’t move. The monster was right. He knew nothing of it’s capabilities and if Ilvir was capable of defeating it within seconds the bat knew he probably would’ve done so by now. Ilvr’s fists shook as his pride demanded him he rush in and defeat his opponent, yet he didn’t. As a sign of no aggression, Ilvir lowered his fists.
“Good golem, now I am a civil man, so all I wish to know is why you are here, I will release your pet and perhaps we might even be friends? Now what do you say?” The creature said, giving another grin as it wondered what Ilvir would do next.
