As Katie and Lisa's realities were restored, a lot of things were altered with them. All memories of Kellie were erased from their minds. In fact, no one remembered that Kellie ever existed. And since it was because of Katie wishing with Kellie for a lot of alterations, there was a dangerous amount of causality holes in their new timeline. So the timeline repaired in the most seamless way it could. Maggie and Lee now never had a daughter named Kellie. Everyone that Katie had changed after telling Kellie about the ring were now truly set at those ages as if they had never been altered. The only question remained was what would become of Katie and Lisa.
Katie was the first to wake up. Among the first things she noticed was that she was in a twin-sized bed. Then she noticed Lisa was sleeping besides her. For a brief instant, she remembered Lisa as her aunt. But then the new reality fixed that memory. Lisa was her twin. They weren't identical as Katie as blonde and Lisa was a redhead, but they were extremely similar in every other regard. Katie also noticed that they were both 7 years old, but that didn't seem as wrong as it should be.
Katie poked Lisa and said, "Lisa, wake up."
Lisa yawned before saying, "Morning, sis."
"Morning," said Katie, "Do you remember where the ring is?"
"What ring?" asked Lisa.
"You know. The ring I found yesterday. The one that can change people's ages," said Katie.
"Oh yeah," said Lisa, "I think it's on the table."
Katie rolled over and saw the ring on the nightstand. She picked it up and put it on her finger. She felt a familiar warmth. She had the strangest feeling she was forgetting something important. What was it? Looking at her hand, she asked, "Lisa, how old are we?"
"What?" asked Lisa.
"I'm getting the feeling that we're supposed to be older but we made ourselves younger last night," said Katie.
Lisa paused and tried to sort through her new memories for the answer.
