She walked over to a wall without lockers and put her back to it. She slid down until she could feel the cool floor against her cushioned rear. Who was she?
Her mind was a flurry of emotions and feelings and patterns, everything was a blur and she could hardly make out anything. Her head hurt, but she kept trying. There was something, she could feel it. It was something distinct. Something that changed everything.
"Transform or dare?"
"I'm Jennifer?"
"No, I'm not."
She sat there for a moment, puzzled. Maybe she could start from that memory and work her way forward. Like untying a knot.
Kyle. Melons. Marissa. Sherry. Derick. Sherry. Marissa.
Now she was even more confused, none of this made any sense. She pondered some more. Knots aren't always made out of one strand. What if that was what this was?
Derick. Sherry. Sherry. Marissa. Marissa. Melons. Kyle.
She still felt entangled, it was much better now, but- she couldn't further untie anything, no matter how hard she tried. It was Gordian's knot, it would take a blade to separate.
After a bit of thinking, she decided to call herself Dennifer. It sounded stupid, and it didn't fit with her right somehow, but it would have to do for now.
Denn got up, her next action already decided.
