When you do finally decide, your gaze rests on a cheetah costume.
‘Being my favorite animal, would be so cool!’ you think. Right?
Standing over the costume slightly, you can tell with just a glance that it is the perfect size. It fact, it seems like it was Made for you. But is that even possible?
‘Hmm...’ you think. Should you really try out an unknown suit?
And what if it belongs to someone already? The sign Did say “sample costumes”, but what if it just meant the first three?!
Or maybe you’re just paranoid.
After a sigh, you begin to put the costume on.
A strange tingling starts up, making you wonder if you are somehow allergic to the protect that the clothes are made out of. Could it be a really weird reaction?
Then, as soon as it appeared, the tingling is gone.
‘Perhaps I just imagined it.’ you conclude.
After all, you’re bound to have your mind play tricks on you, what with being in an unknown place deep in a never ending forest.
Not to mention alone.
-silence-
Quickly you finish putting on the costume, all of a sudden wanting to get out of here as fast as you can.
Once fully in the suit, you feel as if your heart rate has just increased.
Maybe you’re more afraid than you realized.
‘Now to figure out a way to escape,’ you remind yourself.
Unknown to you, as you begin to brain storm ideas, the costume gets tighter and tighter.
Your hands start to change into paws.
Claws grow where once only fingernails were.
The costume clings to you, seeming more and more like real dotted cheetah fur.
Eventually, you basically look like a cheetah standing on its hind legs, once your tail pops out.
Still, you somehow don’t notice.
Whiskers form on your cheeks.
Your body grows a little bit.
There is no way you would be able to get the “costume” off now, for it is a part of you.
Last to come, is the changing of your spinal cord. Instantly it snaps then reforms, so that you can no longer stand on you feet-turned-paws.
It is then, on four feet, that you “descover” the real truth.
You are officially a full grown, male cheetah.
And you still don’t have a way out...
