Thomas Cooke got home from work, truthfully he found office work to be quite dull, secretly he yearned for a simple life, "thank goodness its Friday" he thought to himself, as he got to his front door, he opened it to find a letter. It was from a seemingly long lost friend, saying he should visit, it did give an adress in the country, which would be a change of scene, and so he packed his things and the next morning headed off. It wasn't until quite late in the afternoon as the sun was beginning to sink that he arrived, he knocked on the door, the man who answered seemed just the same as he remembered "Thomas how are you!" Said the man "Tim!?" Said Thomas in a bit of a surprised tone as it seemed Tim had not changed at all in the ten years since he last spoke. They shifted the conversation away from the doorway, and into the sitting room "so how is it possible you haven't changed at all?" Enquired Thomas "all that will be explained in due time suffice it to say that it has to do with why I dragged you out here" answered Tim before Thomas could respond however Tim said " now it's time I showed you to the spare room"
The next morning Thomas went downstairs to find Tim had already made breakfast "morning, seems my cooking woke you, tuck in we've got a long day ahead of us" tim said as he started on his breakfast, the two ate in relative silence as Thomas began to wonder what he'd got himself into. Once they had finished they set out for a seemingly unassuming shed, "that's it!?" Said Thomas in mild disdain "no its only part of it" said Tim as he shifted a bench and lifted a hatch they both descended the ladder leading down into an underground labyrinth filled with all sorts of plants in various stages of growth "my goodness what is all this?" Said tim in excitement "this is my lifes work and as one of my few remaining friends you get to share in its delights" replied Tim "what sort of things are these" asked Thomas "these, all sorts of things, these are just the seeding stock though, proper stuff is in the back room here" Tim answered as they reached a solid steel bankvault door Tim inserted the keys and worked the combinatiom lock until one by one the door unlocked it swung open and revealed a room several times bigger than what was seen outside "this is the main event, the grand hall so to speak, in here there are fruits for changing the fabric of ones very being" exclaimed Tim "really?" Enquired Thomas in disbelief "oh yes quite simple and yet took over a decade to get this far, work was begun long before I was born but I was granted custodianship" answered Tim "over here are Adams Apples" Tim said pointing to a small fruit bearing bush they continued down the hall "and this is the piece de resistance the fruit of youth" and right next to that the melon of eve" said Tim as they came to nearing the end of the room "so that's..." started Thomas "how I look no different from when you saw me last" Tim said continuing the sentence, "now I hope you understand when I say that part of the reason I brought you here was to ask you a question, and that question is, if you could become a woman, would you be willing to give me a chance?" Thomas stood there at first taking it all in, and then thinking on it before saying "well would you?"
