Megan closed her laptop and climbed out of the SUV. She thanked Tiffany for the ride, and went into the house. Yelling, “I’m home!” she quickly climbed upstairs into her bedroom. Setting her laptop down on the desk, she knew she wanted to play around with it some more. Knowing the program’s potential, she quickly found a power-cable and directly connected the laptop into an outlet, ensuring it wouldn’t suddenly die on her.
She opened the laptop, and quickly reopened the program. Instead of Tiffany’s SUV, she saw her house, down to the nook and cranny. As she suspected, her fifteen-year old brother James was sitting in his room at his computer. He was tall and lanky – and clumsy – at around six feet and only around 145 lbs. He rarely went outside, and it was obvious all of his out-of-school socializing was done either with his family or online. She clicked on him and ensured his ‘aware’ was disabled; he was very smart and would figure something weird was going on if the program didn’t rewrite his memory.
Her sister Jenna, who was out of high school and taking a ‘gap year’, was nineteen. She was in the living room, using the family computer. (Her father obviously loved technology, because their family had no shortage of computers) ‘Friend 1’ was standing next to her. Clicking on ‘Friend 1’ revealed it to be a male around age twenty – a friend of Jenna, obviously.
Her other sibling were not home. Her father was not home. Her mom was in the kitchen, either cleaning or cooking (the program could not distinguish between the two).
