"Nah, I'm not in the mood to hang out with dudebros" you say to yourself. You need to work on your grades to be wasting your time drinking and partying all night... besides you can always rush next year.
Shortly after you arrive at your shared room, throwing your backpack in the bed. "Hey Jeff!" You say to your roommate. He is around your age, albeit slightly thinner, with brunette hair and thick glasses. He is kinda shy and socially awkward, but otherwise is a cool dude to hang out with. "Wassup man! Weren't you going to rush into Zetta Alpha Phi?" He asks, as he turns from his laptop screen
"I was about to, but... nah, in the end I turned back." You admit, kinda embarrased. "Why man? you would be an excellent bro!" Jeff says, sarcastically "You will be drowning in sexy ladys!!" Then you answer "You are one to say.... haven't seen you with a girlfriend since I met you!" Jeff turned away from you, deflecting your question.
"Anyways, I was gonna take a break. Wanna watch Kuno no watamari with me?" He says, as he minimizes the windows he was watching on his laptop. "Hell yeah! I'll bring the chips!" As you take a pair of bags of chips, Jeff moves your usually light backpack, making a loud *THUD* noise. "Hey, careful!" you say, rushing over to your backpack to see if everything inside is ok. And that's when you spot the mask.
"By the way Jeff, check this out!" You hand him the wooden mask. "What with this crappy mask?" Jeff says as he inspects it. "Well, I bought it from this old man... was gonna use it for the rush" You say, as you pour the chips in a bowl. "Would you believe it? The old man gave it to me for free! And he said something about having trouble and big pleasure or something... Jeff? Jeff???"
But Jeff was not listening to you. While inspecting it, Jeff turned it around, checking the backside of the mask, when a mysterious green glimmer shined through the mask's surface. In that moment every thought disappeared from his mind, and an intense urge invaded his whole body: the urge to wear the mask. Grabbing it with his fingers, he slowly droved it towards his face, until....
"Jeff, stop!" But it was too late, as the mask inmedatelly propelled itself towards Jeff's face, creating a vaccuum between the mask and his face "What the...." Was all that Jeff managed to muster, as the mask started to become rubbery like, adapting to his face as tendrils appeared on it's edges, closing in on Jeff's head.
"Take it off! Take it off!!!!" You yell at him, but the tendrils have already covered his entire head, trapping his brown hair inside of it. Jeff started yelling, trying to pull the mask off to no avail, as weird green runes and power symbols started to appear all over the mask. You try to help him, but he starts spinning like crazy, as strong winds and thunder is heard outside the room.
You can see him contort and grow in the midst of a powerful whirlwind, but you cannot do anything to stop... whatever it is that's happening.
