"I wanna be a boy!" Kelly exclaimed.
Katie was shocked to hear it. "What, really Kel?"
The other little girl nodded, "Yeah I mean, my life as a girl has sort of sucked, maybe if I'm a boy it will be better."
Katie started to protest, but already she could see the changes. Kellies hair got shorter bit by bit and more freckles dotted her face. Fine hairs grew on her arms and legs as her clothes started to change. Her capri pants turned to basketball shorts, and her blouse into a jersey. A baseball cap situated itself backwards on her head as her pink sneakers turned dark red. Grinning the new boy stuck his tongue out at her.
"Hey there, cootie face!"
"Cootie face? Kelly what's gotten into you?" Katie gasped.
"Im not Kelly, I'm Kel now! Im a boy, just like I wanted to be!"
"Kellie, no this isnt you...Merlin do something!"
The old man shook his head, "it is his wish."
Kel nodded, "yeah so deal with it Katie. I'm kel for the rest of the summer..."
